Shake It Off and Step Up!

One day, a farmer's old donkey fall inside a dry well. It was deep and dark, and the donkey started crying so loud. The farmer hear the noise and come to look. He tried to help but he don’t know how to remove the donkey. After thinking, he say, "This donkey is old and this well is useless. It's not worth it."

So he called his neighbors, and they come with shovel. They start throwing sand inside the well, not to help the donkey but to bury it. The donkey scream at first, crying loud. But after small time, it become quiet.

Then something happen. Every time they throw sand, the donkey shake it off and step on it. They throw, it shake and climb. Throw again, it shake and climb. Slowly slowly, the donkey rise up.

Finally, the donkey come out of the well! It just walk away like nothing happen.

Life may throw dirt at you: problems, insults, failures, and even betrayal. People may give up on you just like the farmer gave up on the donkey. But what matters is how you respond. Instead of sinking, shake it off and step up.

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:37).

“Count it all joy when you face trials… knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance” (James 1:2-4).

When I fall, I shall rise" (Micah 7:8).

You may feel buried, but God is not done with you. Even when others stop believing in you, God is still at work. Let every struggle become your stepping stone. Use the dirt to rise higher.

When life pushes you down, don’t stay there. God has placed inside you the grace to rise. You may cry at first, that’s okay. But don’t stop there. Shake it off. Step up. Keep trusting Jesus.
